Hi everyone,
Sorry that I havn't been able to make it to too many meeting but I just
wanted to update you on a few things and add a coment.
1) I have opened an October 29 Coalition bank account. We should do our best
to start soliciting donations or kicking in our selves a bit. Checks can be
made to "October 29 Coalition" and can be sent to:
October 29 Coalition, 147 Dana Ave #2, Hyde Park, MA 02136
2) After a quick check of websites of the various 10/29 groups I noticed a
surprising lack of info about 10/29, actually none. I hate to be an ass but
we should really all have 10/29 front and center on those sites and if you
can put up something on the 10/8 Fundraiser
(http://www.oct29.org/wst_page7.html,
http://www.meniscusmagazine.com/events_pages/peaceII2005.htm) that would be
great.
3) Assembling Peace II
A benefit for the October 29 Boston Anti War March.
At the Spontaneous Celebrations community center (45 Danforth St., Jamaica
Plain, MA 02130, http://www.spontaneouscelebrations.org/, 617 -524-6373) in
Jamaica Plain on Saturday, October 8 from 6:00pm-1:00am. All Ages, 10$
donation.

The first floor is for groups to set up infon tables and introduce
themselves, network, promote their actions and find new volunteers. There is
a side room on the first floor that will be set up for massage chairs and
arts and workshops. There is also a kitchen and counter on the first floor
which will have food to serve.
The Second floor has a bar that will serve beer, wine and fair trade coffee.
There is a stage on the second floor that will host the performers and
speakers. A diverse array of bands, poets, entertainers and speakers will
alternate on this stage. The program will focus on diversity and present a
broad spectrum of race, sex, musical styles and speakers including veterans,
youth, socialists, environmentalists, anti-war, labor rights, low income
