Amatul, thanks for the lively and upbeat post. I am in agreement with
most of what you said and as a white puerto rican male anarcho-commie
will be happy to listen to you, support you and even be led by you in
chants of "god is coming and boy is she pissed." :)

I want to get one thing straight here though--when I said the thing
about letting shit happen, I didn't mean letting shit happen in the
sense that "shit happens" Personally I hope to witness no "shit
happening". I simply meant that we have to leave the movement room to
grow naturally--the shit that i'm talking about letting happen is
chit-chat among strangers, exchanges of peace signs, whatever a bunch of
pissed-off, pumped-up anti-warriors of all ages and political
persuasions might think of doing with themselves at a rally that is as
much about them as it is about the organizers, though not as much as it
is about the victims of the many evils we seek to stem. i have all the
respect in the world for the commitment displayed by people who actively
organize these things, and have no intention of in any way inciting or
even passively condoning any disruptance. my point is simply to call
for a spirit of humility and good humor when we decide to work together
as equals toward a common goal. and for the record, i dont remember
signing up for this list, but am glad i was added. is there a bot i can
write to with the subject: "thanks"?

anyway, shots all around, on me... ;)
