STAND UP FOR ABORTION ACCESS!
SUPPORT WOMEN USING PLANNED PARENTHOOD!
*********************************
Clinic Action!
8:30 am - Saturday, Oct. 8
Outside Planned Parenthood, Allston - 1055 Commonwealth Ave.
(near Pleasant St. T-stop)

Show support for choice and women's access to reproductive healthcare!

Around 30 to 100 anti-abortionists have taken to holding regular
gatherings outside the Planned Parenthood in Allston every second
Saturday of the month, where they verbally abuse, videotape, and at
times physically harass anyone trying to enter the clinic.

We will hold pro-choice signs and balloons, as well as block cameras,
to counteract the presence of anti-choice protesters who intend to
shame and intimidate! We plan to have a peaceful and silent action.

"Operation Rescue" (or as we call them, Operation Oppress-You),
prevents women from receiving medical services, threatens the safety
of clinic staff, has assaulted patients, and has vandalized doctors'
offices. WE NEED TO TAKE BACK OUR STREETS & NEIGHBORHOODS!

Every woman should be able to choose whether to have an abortion or
not, and should be able to determine what happens to her body. We must
defend these basic rights by making sure women can go into clinics
safely without shame, isolation, and intimidation. Historically,
clinic defenses on a larger scale have successfully caused right-wing
demonstrators to retreat.

*********************************
PLANNING MEETING:
7 pm - THIS THURSDAY, Oct. 6
Loker Commons, Harvard University
(in basement of Sanders Theater, see www.map.harvard.edu)

To ensure the clinic action is disciplined and well-coordinated, given
the sensitive location, we hope you can make the planning meeting!

Who is the Coalition to Defend Reproductive Rights?

We are feminists, women who have had abortions, users of Planned
Parenthood's services -- but most of all, we are community members
concerned about the state of access to reproductive healthcare. We
have organized and formed a coalition to defend and extend our
reproductive rights.

"There are plenty of women in Fallujah who have testified they were
raped by American soldiers... They are nearby the secondary school for
girls inside Fallujah. When people came back to Fallujah the first
time they found so many girls who were totally naked and they had been
killed."

Human Rights and Democracy in Fallujah, quoted in
