I agree wholeheartedly with everything Keith says in his initial email on
the "Racism" demand.

Just to clarify, (and I feel that I can speak for Keith on this), I don't
think that he feels that "the Democrats are on our side". Keith and the rest
of the ISO are not shy about calling the Democrats bluff and saying loud and
clear that they are a pro-war, pro-corporate party. I thank the ISO for
taking a strong stance on this as they have influenced my own views on the
Dems. However, I do disagree with the ISO on a few things like thier Fair
Trade and enviornmental stances, but I agree with 90% of what they say.

I also find it strange that R. Miller felt the need to bring the Holyoke and
George Mason incidents to Keith's attention when Keith has been the one
spreading the word on this far and wide on the O29 list and many others.

But I have to side with Chrystie and say that we need to get going big time
on logistics. This action is less than a month away and we have to get this
together. The time for debate has past and we've settled our demands in
August. We must focus on permits, promo and logistics. We can continue this
debate after O29, it's important to keep our eyes on the prize right now.
David Keil makes a good point by pointing out the language on racism in our
statement. It's in there.

Sorry to play Monday morning quarterback, I've been absent from most
meetings due to my teaching schedule. Hope to see you all this Saturday at
the Fundraiser. http://www.meniscusmagazine.com/events_pages/peaceII2005.htm

Peace and Solidarity,

Brian
