Race and Class Exposed:
Why We Need a New Civil Rights Movement
Thursday, October 6, @ 6:30
Community Church of Boston
565 Boylston St.
Recently, hate-monger Bill Bennett, former Education Secretary under Ronald Reagan preached genocide by saying: "But I do know that it's true that if you wanted to reduce crime, you could, you could abort every black baby in this country, and your crime rate would go down." Also recently, white Northeastern University students made an attempt to shut down a meeting for minority women, branding it "exclusive". This bigotry is unacceptable! We have to stand up and fight back against these attacks!
What Hurricane Katrina has shown the American public is that our government could care less about those who live close to the poverty line-especially if you're Black. As the war in Iraq continues, the ruling class will continue to use racism to defend its war abroad and against people of color here at home.
We have to stop racism in it's tracks wherever it rears it's ugly head.
Come to a discussion about how we can revive a civil rights movement in this country that will once again beat back racism and demand decent lives for people of color in this country.
